Chicken Cheese Chowder

Ingredients (Yield: 4-5 Servings)

  • 1 cup shredded carrot (optional/yuck)
  • 1 container pre-sliced yellow onions
  • 2 cups milk
  • 4 TBS butter
  • 2 cans chicken broth
  • 12.5oz can Tyson white chunk chicken, drained & shredded
  • White wine "to taste" (I use Yellow Tail Riesling)
  • Celery seed (not celery salt) "to taste"
  • Worchestershire sauce "to taste"
  • 8oz sharp cheddar
  • Chives as garnish
  1. Sauté onion/carrot in butter
  2. Blend in flour; add milk & chicken broth
  3. Cook & stir until thickened & bubbly. Stir in chicken
  4. Stir in chicken, worchestershire, celery seed & wine
  5. Heat through
  6. Add cheese & stir gradually until melted
  7. Garnish with chives, if desired
