Cordon Cheddar

- 3 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves
- Cracker Barrel sharp cheddar, sliced from the block
- 1 1/2 tablespoon and 1-1/2 teaspoons all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 1/4 cup dry white wine
- 1/2 teaspoon chicken bouillon granules
- 1-1/2 teaspoons cornstarch
- 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
- Pound the chicken breasts until flattened
- Blend the paprika and flour, then coat the chicken with the mixture
- Brown the chicken in melted butter
- Add the wine and bouillon to the pan
- Reduce heat to low and allow to simmer for 30 minutes
- In a separate bowl, blend the cream and cornstarch
- Add cheddar to the top of the chicken and allow it to melt
- Remove chicken, add cream and cornstarch to the pan sause and slowly blend
- Pour sauce over chicken; serve warm
