Welcome to my site. My name is Michelle Pope Matthews and I am a graphic designer, writer and artist living in Raleigh, NC.
Artist Statement -
The process of graphic design is enjoyable to me because it combines the use of text, images, and personal creativity in order to communicate an intended message to an audience. While I have always considered myself to be a "visual" person with a passion for channeling creativity, I also have a strong enthusiasm for reading and writing. The technical aspects of my chosen profession allow the designer the freedom to explore words and images; to bring the two together into one cohesive final product. In addition, a great deal of learning and visual growth is involved with graphic design, and I look forward to expanding upon my design-based knowledge in the future. Additional hobbies include cooking, gardening and spending quality time with my husband/best friend and our beloved pets.
